Objectives: Regional differences in diabetes mortality are high in Hungary. In our
cross-sectional study, we aim to reveal the drivers of the inequalities in diabetes
mortality across the 197 microregions of Hungary. To account for the influence of
changes in healthcare and social conditions, we compared two periods (2009–12 and
2013–16).
