Samplings were carried out with a light trap in one site, and with an insect aspirator in the other 7 sites. The most abundant species in the area were Aedes vexans, Ochlretotatus sticticus and Aedes cinereus, which species can be described as widespread, but several rare species occurred which are unknown for the fauna of the Bereg-plain and even Transcarpathia. 9 species were caught only with the light trapping method. Mosquito assemblages of the 7 sites sampled with insect aspirator were compared and evaluated. The most speciesrich site was a village yard among them.
