Nowadays, museums operating in various countries in the world perform a vital role in education. Serving the learning and leisure needs of children, students, young people, and families is a particularly significant part of their social mission. In recent years, there has been a growing worldwide interest in museums – among children and school groups and young people, adults, and the elderly. The following study presents the diversity of motivation for museum visitors, and the range of didactics methods most commonly used in museums. We also talk about the specific cultural needs and requirements of the target groups of each visitor. In addition, some good practices are also described. It can be seen that museums offer a wide range of interactive programs that are useful and valuable in their leisure time and connection with school lessons.
