A kötet bemutatja a Kreatív Tanulás Programot, amelyet sikeresen alkalmaznak az NKE­n, valamint a kreatív tanulás módszertani alapjait is. Részletesen tárgyalja a pedagógiai tervezést és a kreatív tanulást, az értékelés és a tudásmérés kreatív megközelítéseit a felsőoktatásban. A mű áttekintést ad a tréningmódszertanról, és számos olyan gyakorlati megoldást javasol, amellyel inter­aktívabbá tehető az egyetemi oktatás. Segítséget nyújt a kooperatív tanulás szervezéséhez, valamint az esettanulmány ­módszer alkalmazásához is. A kreativitás és az innováció kiemelt szerepet kap a könyvben, külön fejezetek foglalkoznak ezek oktatásbeli módszereivel. Emellett alternatív oktatási módszereket is bemutatunk, amelyek segítik az IKT­ eszközök használatát a tanítás/tanulás folyamatában.
