TTv in saliva and biopsy samples from oral cancer and saliva patients as well as saliva from controls. 2) To genotype the local isolates of the Torque Teno virus. 3) Phylogenetic analysis of TTv. 4) For detection Ag of TTv infection in serum specimens among oral carcinoma patients and healthy controls. Methods: A semi-nested PCR was used for amplifying UTR region of TTv genome. Also, sequencing of the gene has done as well as ELISA utilized for detection Ag of TTv. Results: Torque Teno V. prevalence was higher in OC patients (saliva: 26/60, 43.33%; tumor biopsy: 24/60, 40%) than in controls (saliva: 11, 18.33%). By phylogenetic analysis, there are identical TTv strains in most cases between samples of salivary and biopsy of the same OC patient. Prevalence Ag of TTv was (24, 53.33% in patients) and (9, 20% in healthy controls) have detected by ELISA technique. Conclusions: Our results are greed with opinion that TTv might act as co-carcinogen or carcinogen in some OC patient.
