Multicultural teams have to cooperate effectively at the physical workplace and in the virtual space as well. In 2020, due to the coronavirus pandemic, online solutions, remote work, and virtual teams became the new norm for many firms. Online communication can be very effective, but the lack of personal presence, cultural and language differences, nonverbal misinterpretations, preconceptions, and stereotypes can cause significant difficulties because the way we communicate, behave, and connect to others is determined by our cultural background.
