Nanganji River Basin is one of the least studied seasonal river basins in India which carry substantial flows during the monsoon period. In this study, morphometry of Nanganji River Basin, located in the central Tamil Nadu prairies, has been studied using remote sensing and GIS. The interrelationship between the various morphometric factors of the basin has been studied using a correlation matrix. Factor analysis has been applied to group the individual morphometric parameters into a smaller number of factors. Further, these factors have been studied in relation to the sub-basins to understand the existing relation between the factors and the sub-basins.
