A CFRP kompozit anyagokat gyakran kell forgácsolni a végső állapotuk eléréséhez. Az egyik leggyakrabban alkalmazott CFRP forgácsolási eljárás a fúrás, ennek köszönhetően számos különböző típusú fúró szerszámot fejlesztettek ki a CFRP kompozit anyagok fúrására. Jelen áttekintő kutatás alapján a CFRP kompozitok forgácsolásához a speciális élgeometriájú és gyémánt bevonatolt fúrószerszámok használata javasolt. In the modern industry more and more carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites are applied. CFRP composites are often needs to be machined to reach their final condition. One of the most often used CFRP machining method is drilling. Therefore several types of different cutting tools have been developed for CFRP composite drilling.
