The increasing amount of distributed power generation share in the power portfolio
of many countries will make the implementation of future-oriented utility structures
and policies such as the Smart Grid approach inevitable. This new appoach creates
the need to continuously improve the utility-oriented philosophy of SPC control, system
design, inter-converter and converter-with-utility cooperation. The impact of DG systems
on the utility can not be neglected not only because of the increase in converter
number, but also because of the increase in power generation capacity.
