Effect of temperature gradient on the current oscillations in moving charge-density waves

      Current oscillations generated by moving charge-density waves split into several distinct components under the application of a temperature gradient. The observation of more than two components clearly demonstrates that oscillating currents are not created at the contact terminals. It is suggested that the collective mode breaks, under the influence of a temperature gradient, into several coherent domains, each generating a different oscillation frequency.
