In AC servo systems ripple-less high torque can be reached by appropriate current vector control method. The current control loop in voltage source inverters offers substantial advantages in improving drive system dynamics. Such inverters can realize high dynamic current control with excellent transient response as a result of direct comparison of the inverter output current with the current reference signal. Referring to computer simulation results a comparison of different current control methods are presented.
