Phosphoric acid production of Syrian phosphate rock by chemical digestion was studied in a batch-wise laboratory-scale apparatus. A mathematical model was elaborated for the process that is combined with chemical reaction, crystallization, crust formation on the particles. The parameters of this model were given by empirical equations. The average difference between the measured and calculated values was +/-5%.
