    Cancer is a fatal disease affecting modern societies, with high risk of casualty. Cancer treatment varies in type such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or surgical intervention. In this paper we introduce a method for optimal scheduling of a special chemotherapy, the antiangiogenic therapy. Antiangiogenic therapy is a target therapy that aims the vasculature of the tumor, instead of the tumor itself, with no risk of resistance against the applied agent and virtually no toxicity. We analyze a nonlinear tumor growth model under angiogenic signaling, and design optimal controllers using Linear Quadratic control.
